An observational clinico etiological study of Kushta with specific reference to Tinea corporis

Background: Skin diseases are among the most common health problems worldwide and associated with considerable burden. In Ayurveda classics, skin disorders termed in general as Kushta caused involvement of Vata, Pitta, Shleshma Krimi. Among diversified etiological factors Krimi has a great importance. So, here an attempt is made to evaluate clinical types, isolate fungal species, identify probable risk Krimijanya present population. Objectives: To special reference Tinea Corporis prevalent causative species. Materials Methods: A total 30 patients clinically diagnosed tinea corporis fulfilling inclusion criteria were taken for study. Results: 31 studied percentage growth different species dermatophytes culture study given follows, 48.4% Trichophyton, 6.5% Trichosporon, 3.2% Microsporum Gypseum, 19.4% Epidermophyton,16.1% Candida, Aspergillus, found no growth. Conclusion: Aharaja Viharaja Nidana mentioned well have Madhura, Amla, Lavana Rasa, Guru Guna, Vidahi, Kledakaraka property which cause Swedaavarodha crucial Utpathi Utpatti.
